You know when you’ve lost someone and you keep thinking that you’d never find anyone else better? You start moping around, dwelling on your loss, not doing anything with your life. You start wasting away.
But how about looking at it this way. You don’t find that better person, you become that “better person”. You read more, write more, create more, start working out, experience new things, travel to places you’ve never been before, meet new people. What if you worked on becoming the best you can be? When you’ve become a better person you find yourself surrounded by better people, and when you’ve become the best you can be then you find yourself surrounded by the best people for you.
Stop looking for that better person. Be that better person.
